Nattokinase is an enzyme derived from natto — fermented soybeans that have been a breakfast staple in Japan for over a thousand years. It is compared by enzyme activity (FU, or fibrinolytic units) rather than by weight, which is why two bottles listing the same milligrams can be very different products.
